Peak Cluster Carbon Capture Project
Another major project has been proposed that will have a huge impact on our village, the Peak Cluster Carbon Capture Project.
The idea is to capture the co2 from the cement and lime industries in the Peak District and transport it via a pipeline to be “locked away” under Morecambe bay.
The proposed route of this pipeline runs right through Mottram St Andrew.
A public consultation has now started and runs until 27th February and there is a drop in event for this area, with details below and a link to the consultation page on the Peak Cluster website.
